On The Full Moon
The moon hangs in the sky
Shining down her pale odd light
Hiding the steps and boundaries
That show a narrow way in sunlight.
Making us look closely where we move.
Nothing is as it seems or right
To the day-accustomed mind
When traveling by moonlight.
The moon travels from full to empty
And back again
Taking time to rest and grow slowly
Every month.
